First boarding school in Asia with full IB curriculum
On its lush 100-acre campus set in the foothills north of the ancient and historic city of Chiang Mai, Prem offers all four IB Programs: the Primary Years Program (IB PYP), the Middle Years Program (IB MYP) and the Diploma Program (IB DP) and the exciting new International Baccalaureate Career-related Certificate (IBCC), all part of the IB curriculum. Prem is the first school in Asia to be authorised to offer this new and innovative program. At Prem the IBCC is offered either in Sports Management or in Hospitality, adding to the wide range of IB Diploma offerings and university pathways.

The school meets international standards and practices prescribed by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and the Thai Government Ministry of Education (MoE). The school is a member of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT), East Asian Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) and of the Boarding Schools Association (BSA).
Flexible and innovative boarding
Our boarding apartments offer flexible boarding options for students from Grade 1 – Grade 12. Currently there are students from more than thirty different countries studying IB programs at Prem. Our private boarding school includes an innovative boarding curriculum delivered by dedicated and qualified staff. A warm, homely feel fosters family care and values in a safe environment, for students of all levels of ability and all interests, who are interested in pursuing international study abroad.
Outstanding Faculty for all IB students
Our teaching staff members are highly qualified and diverse, coming from fifteen different countries. Our language of instruction is English and all of our teachers, other than our foreign language specialists, are native-language English speakers. Many of our faculty are bi- or tri-lingual.

Our teachers are caring and committed to supporting IB students to be the best that they can be and to also furthering their own learning. We are committed to quality teaching, learning and pastoral care. We offer learning support, language support, numerous outdoor activities, residential programs and high school study abroad programs. All Grade 9 students participate in the challenging and rewarding International Award – also known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
We believe strongly in developing the whole child, and continually offer learning opportunities to assist students discover new understandings, skills and interests to ignite their passion for learning. Exploria, our co-curricular program, offers a vast array of arts, sports and service activities and initiatives. Coupled with the Traidhos Academies for cooking, arts, golf, cricket, football and tennis, and the Three-Generation organic farm, our community members can choose activities to provide them with a well-balanced life.
